Curator's notes:

A highly recognisable Demna-era Balenciaga silhouette, the Pantashoe fused an ultra-stretch spandex over-the-knee boot with a second-skin trouser construction, creating one of the defining footwear statements of the early Demna years. The style debuted around the SS17 runway and continued into later seasons in multiple fabrications, including logo-monogram versions. The Monogram Bonded Spandex version is among the more collectible variations because it combines two major Demna signatures: the pantashoe hybrid concept and Balenciaga's all-over branding language. Unlike the solidcolour spandex versions, the monogram treatment makes it more immediately identifiable as an archive piece.
