This is the pair of green plaid wide-leg trousers from Balenciaga's Fall 2020 collection, look 44, half of a fully coordinated plaid set that saw the same bold check print run continuously from an oversized button-up shirt straight down into the trousers. Rendered in a vivid lime-green plaid with a fine black windowpane overlay, the trousers are cut with a relaxed, wide-leg silhouette and a long, floor-grazing length, continuing the oversized proportions that have defined Demna Gvasalia's menswear line throughout his tenure at the house.
In the campaign imagery, the trousers were styled as part of a full head-to-toe plaid look, paired with the matching oversized shirt, a black turtleneck, a compact crossbody bag, dark sunglasses, and croc-embossed slip-on loafers, a look built entirely around a single, confident print carried through every piece.
Balenciaga's Fall 2020 menswear offering continued Gvasalia's push toward exaggerated, all-encompassing proportions, often built around a single fabric or print used across multiple pieces in one look rather than mixed separates.
